Read about them belowRespite care
Can I get a break without handing him to a stranger
Yes. Respite care from Our Home Healthcare is for the family caregiver. The wife who has not slept through a night in a year, the daughter who moved in for a month and stayed for 3. You leave. A caregiver you have already met stays.
We do the same work your husband needs on any other day. Personal care, meals, medication reminders, company, the overnight. A few hours, a weekend, or 2 weeks for a holiday. Jordan books the same caregiver every time, so by the third break your husband is waving her in at the door.
Priya writes the plan so the caregiver knows the house, the pills and the routine before you go. The price is the hourly rate, $32 an hour with a 4-hour minimum, $36 on weekends and holidays, or $360 for an awake caregiver overnight. Many respite clients are also memory care clients, and the dementia training comes with the caregiver.

an hour, the same caregiver each time, so the break is a real break
24-hour and live-in care
What if she should not be alone at night
Then somebody is there. 2 or 3 caregivers in shifts around the clock, or 1 live-in caregiver with a sleep period, with Priya's oversight included either way. For a person with dementia who wanders, or anyone after a fall, the nights are usually where the worry is.

24-hour care in shifts
2 or 3 caregivers, each awake for the whole shift. For someone who needs hands-on help through the night.
Live-in care
1 caregiver who lives in, with a sleep period at night. Needs a room for her and a person who mostly sleeps through.
Overnight, awake caregiver
12 hours, awake and in the house, and the day stays yours.
Jordan builds the team from the same 2 or 3 caregivers, so the faces at the door repeat. Priya oversees every 24-hour case and visits at least every 30 days. Many 24-hour clients are also personal care or memory care clients, and the tasks come from that plan. Overnight care is also how many families start hospital to home.

End-of-life comfort care
Can she stay home on hospice
Yes, and most people on hospice want to. Hospice brings the nurse and the medicine. We bring the hours. Our Home Healthcare works alongside the hospice team and takes its direction from the hospice nurse.
- Who it is for
- A person on hospice who wants to be at home, and the family sitting with them.
- What we do
- Personal care, turning and bathing, an overnight presence so the family can sleep, and company in the room. Whatever the hospice plan asks of an aide, for as many hours as you need.
- Who does it
- Caregivers with hospice experience, picked by Jordan. Priya came to us from hospice herself and oversees the case with the hospice nurse.
- What it costs
- The hourly rate. $32 an hour with a 4-hour minimum, $36 on weekends and holidays, $360 a night for an awake caregiver. Our hours are private pay, long-term care insurance or VA Aid and Attendance. We do not bill Medicare.

Priya or Dana comes to the house within 24 hours. It is free, takes about an hour, and you leave it with a written plan of care and an exact price for it.
