You are the one holding it together
Your mother does not want to leave the house she raised you in. She does not have to.
Most families call us on a bad week. Dad is being discharged on Thursday and nobody has said what happens Friday. Mom is fine most days, and it is the nights, the pills and the shower that scare you. Or you live 2 hours away and the last agency sent a different stranger every visit. Our Home Healthcare is a licensed home health agency in Edgewater, Florida. Our nurses and caregivers come to the house, on your schedule, and the same people keep coming.

All 8 servicesWhy us and not the next agency
5 promises you can check
Every agency says it cares. These are the 5 things we do that most do not, and each one has a number you can hold us to.
A nurse on every case
Every client at Our Home Healthcare has a registered nurse case manager, including companion-only clients. She writes the plan of care, visits at least every 30 days, and is the person you call when something changes. Florida requires a nurse visit every 60 days for aide services. We do twice that.
The same faces
A primary caregiver and 1 trained backup. In the first 90 days a client at Our Home Healthcare meets at most 3 caregivers. If a match is wrong, we change it within a week, no questions asked.
A person answers, day and night
(386) 272-6048 rings in our Edgewater office in the day and goes to the on-call nurse at night. No answering service, no phone tree, no voicemail. Jordan, our care coordinator, answers most of the calls.
Care starts within 48 hours
A free in-home assessment within 24 hours of your call, and the first shift within 48. A hospital discharge tomorrow is a normal Tuesday for us.
Prices on the website
Hourly rates are published on this site. No quote call, no deposit, no contract. Stop any time with 48 hours notice. See every price.

The nurse who started it
"I would not send anyone to your father that I would not have sent to mine."
Dana Whitfield, RN, BSN, spent 20 years as a floor nurse and a hospital case manager in Volusia County. In 2013 she brought her own father home to Florida Shores after a stroke and watched 4 agencies send a different stranger every week, with no nurse ever checking on him. She started Our Home Healthcare in March 2014 with 3 caregivers and her own car. 12 years later there are 64 caregivers, and she still visits clients and takes the night line 1 week in 5.
