Memory care at home
Dementia care at home in Edgewater, with the same faces every week
Our Home Healthcare is a licensed home health agency in Edgewater, Florida, and we care for people living with Alzheimer's and other dementias in their own homes. Caregivers trained by our nurse keep a steady routine, redirect instead of argue, and give the exhausted husband or wife a break. $32 an hour, and the same faces every week.

Who memory care is for
Which of these sounds like your house
Dementia changes the house before it changes the diagnosis. Families in Edgewater call us at 3 points. Open the one that is yours.
He asks the same question 20 times and you have stopped answering kindly
That is exhaustion, and it is the most common reason a wife calls us. A caregiver trained to answer the 20th time like the first gives you the afternoon off and gives your husband a routine he can lean on. The break is part of the care. Respite is on the all services page.
She is wandering, or she left the stove on
Priya does a home safety review at the first visit. Locks, the stove, lighting, the route to the bathroom at night. Then a caregiver during the hours that worry you most, and an awake caregiver overnight at $360 a night if the nights are the problem.
Mom is still fine most of the day, and you want to keep her home as long as you can
Early dementia at home goes best with a steady routine and the same faces. We often start with a few mornings a week of companion care from a dementia-trained caregiver, and Priya adjusts the plan every 30 days as things change. Results vary from person to person.

What we do
What does memory care at home actually involve
The same tasks as personal care, done by a caregiver trained for dementia, in a day that looks the same every day.
- A caregiver trained in dementia care by Priya, our nurse
- The same routine, same times, same order, every visit
- Redirection instead of argument when the afternoon goes wrong
- Bathing, dressing, meals and medication reminders, at the pace the person sets
- A home safety review at the first visit, and again when things change
- Company and activity, the photo album, the garden, the radio
- Support for the husband or wife who is exhausted, including a real break
- Overnight and 24-hour care when the nights become the problem
When hands-on help becomes most of the visit, that is personal care at the same rate. If a wound, a medication change or a hospital stay comes into it, Priya adds skilled nursing visits to the same plan. Care does not slow the disease, and we will not tell you it does. What changes is how the days go, and that varies from person to person.
Who comes to the house
Who will be with my husband
2 people you meet at the first visit, and Jordan on the phone from the first call.

Priya Ramnath, RN
Nurse case manager
Hospice and home health background. Writes the plan of care, trains every caregiver on this case in dementia care, visits at least every 30 days, and is the person you call when the nights change.

Carla Jimenez, CNA
Lead caregiver and trainer
With the agency since 2015. Runs the 2-week onboarding every caregiver goes through and shadows their first 3 shifts. Carla is the caregiver in the photo at the top of this page, and she still takes cases herself.
Jordan Blake, our care coordinator, matches the caregiver to your husband. For memory care that means someone calm who has done this before. Rosa, Marcus and Lin are 3 of our 64 caregivers, all our employees, all Level 2 background screened, and your husband meets at most 3 of them in the first 90 days. Meet the nurses and caregivers
